Your Next Steps
Your talent opens doors. Your words keep them open. Next Tally Concepts equips athletes, entertainers, and emerging professionals with the discipline and communication skills to avoid career-ending missteps before they happen. Founded by Larry C. Mullins, a seasoned journalist and communicator who has seen careers rise and fall in real time, our training is built on experience, consequence, and preparation. When the spotlight hits, you won’t panic — you’ll perform with clarity, confidence, and control.

About Us
The idea for Next Tally was born out of my strong passion for helping people, and particularly young aspiring journalists, athletes, performing artists and those helplessly struggling to get out of their own way! I come from a place and time where (like many places) opportunities are fleeting. So, when you were blessed and lucky enough to get an opportunity to shine based on your talents, you had to capitalize on it and frankly, try not to F it up with a misstep. And it’s still like that! All too often, we see people in the public spotlight (rookies and many times even veteran celebs) torpedo their careers due to the overuse of the most powerful organ on their bodies: the tongue.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does Next Tally do?
Next Tally provides professional media training, crisis aversion coaching, public speaking development, and transition training for athletes and public figures. We help clients protect their careers by mastering communication before mistakes are made.
What is “Media Crisis Aversion”?
Media Crisis Aversion is our proactive training program designed to prevent career-damaging missteps. Through intensive role-playing, boundary-testing interview simulations, and real-world scenarios, we train you to think before you speak — especially when the spotlight is brightest.
Why is media training necessary if I already know my sport or profession?
Knowing your craft gets you in the room. Communicating it effectively keeps you there. Networks, sponsors, and fans expect clarity, professionalism, and composure under pressure. We make sure you’re ready on day one.
Is this just public relations coaching?
No. Public relations often steps in after damage is done. Next Tally focuses on prevention. We strengthen mindset, discipline, and decision-making before a situation becomes a headline.
